The Lake Windward Yacht Club was formed to promote the enjoyment of Lake Windward with social activities.
The Yacht Club hosts a variety of member events throughout the year including our very popular Martini Night, Chili Cook-off, Boat-In Braves Season kick-off, multiple informal daytime & evening raft-ups on Lake Windward, Oktoberfest, and a formal "Commodore's Ball". For sports fans, we host a very popular "Football Tailgate Tie-up" event where you can watch college football "on the big screen" from either the lake or land-side.
The Yacht Club also hosts 4 events open to the entire community: Annual Fishing Derby (typically May); Red White & Blue Boat Parade (early July); Witches of Windward charity event (early October); and the Holiday Boat Parade (First Sunday in December). We also host and provide the transportation for the annual Windward Newcomers Boat tour held during the month of September.
The Lake Windward Yacht Club is open only to residents of the Windward Community, so find a friend with a boat if you don't have one, and come join the fun! You can become a Member today by clicking on the "Membership Form" link below, filling out and submitting your membership application, followed by paying your initial membership dues via the Zelle link below or mailing a check to our treasurer.
